We have broken this course into four chapters. These are:

• Setting Up Sites in WP Engine: This section will look at how we can add sites to our WP Engine hosting plan. You also get to learn how to add users to WP Engine.
• WP Local and WP Engine: At MRKWP, we use WP Local to set up the local WordPress development environment. In this chapter, you will learn how to pull down a site from WP Engine to your computer with WP Local. We will also look at how you can push changes from the local site/environment to the WP Engine server.
• Site Maintenance: WordPress sites need to be well maintained from time to time. This chapter will discuss security issues related to WordPress. You will learn how to navigate around site vulnerabilities with the help of WP Engine’s tools. Local enables you to set up a local WordPress development environment. With this tool, you can connect your website hosted via WP Engine to your local development environment.

Local enables you to pull down your site from the server to your local environment and vice versa. You can also push files from your local environment to the WP Engine server.
